I have returned from the beyond.
As some of you probably have noticed, I haven’t been blogging for a few months! I wanted to do a quick update before transitioning back to regular blogging!
First things first, if you listen to my podcast you probably have already clued in (since I outright said it) but I am pregnant. Back in October-December, I was so sick with morning sickness, that being alive was a daunting task, never the less blogging. Truly, women who have no morning sickness, I envy you. But because of this, work of any kind that wasn’t “mandatory” became an immediate no-go. Luckily now, I am feeling worlds better and am happy to announce a healthy baby, scheduled to be a Cancer, just like their mama.
Now that being said, I wasn’t going to announce or even talk about my pregnancy at all. Frankly, I don’t make mom content, nor will I ever. So everyone can exhale, my page isn’t changing. However, after discussing it with my husband, he brought up the point that it’s a huge part of my life I shouldn’t feel like I have to hide, even if I won’t be focusing on it, or posting about my baby on main. Just as my partner chooses to not be a person on the internet, I simultaneously don’t hide that I am married, the same can go for my pregnancy. So that being said, I am not going to hide it, but I’m also not going to focus on it. This will be the only time I probably talk about it in anything more than passing because frankly, it has nothing to do with my content. If people want to be involved and such I’m happy to post a baby registry, but I don’t want anyone to feel obligated or that this means my account will change. So, we shall see!
Now onto other exciting things! My book is coming out in May! May 11th my other labor of love, Magickal Tarot. I am genuinely over the moon about this finally rolling out. I was blessed to have Stasia Burrington as my illustrator, to which she exceeded my every expectation. It’s available for preorder now worldwide. For those of you who have no idea I even wrote a book, Magickal Tarot is about the symbolism within the Major Arcana and how we can use that knowledge to apply it to spell work. The idea behind it is that every tool we use in magick has metaphor, symbolism, and meaning. The same logic can be applied to tarot, and then used as a ritual tool! My book is an in-depth focus on the Major Arcana, the application of the cards in spell work, spreads, and rituals for everyday life. I hope that if nothing else, this book helps to push my readers to think outside of the box.
Thank you all for your countless support in everything that I do! I am so proud of everything 2020 blessed me with, despite the dumpster fire of the year. Thank you for your patience with me while I recovered from the human parasite growing inside me! Things will return to normal now I promise.
