Featured Tarot Deck: Dreamweaver Tarot Deck
Some notable dates this month include:
Full Moon in Leo: February 8th
New Moon in Pisces: February 23rd
Aries: Mar 21 – Apr 20
Well, Aries, the first month of the year is behind us, and ya’ll need to slow down. When the Sun is reversed, we are often looking at energies that match being absolutely burnt out. Unlike it’s upright warm and radiant self, we see things being less certain. Self-doubt, stress, and lethargy induced indecision cloud this month. The Sun reversed can speak to passing out in places that you shouldn’t from sheer exhaustion. Aka, falling asleep on the couch at 8 pm.
We can see you, the querent, taking on too much this month. Make sure you are taking time for yourself. And not every molehill is a mountain. Sometimes we find ourselves working into a bit of a fit, and hey, that’s what makes us human. Just remember to lean on your support team, and take much-needed breaks. Be real with yourself and those around you, it’s not so bad.
Taurus: April 21- May 21
In this case you Taurus, you need to evaluate, are you going to be giving to those who need you, or if you need to bite the humble pie, and accept the help. This card often can be about literal charity, or figurative. Sometimes, it can be just as beneficial to stop and help others, as it can to get help when needed. Remember when you consider, if you are the one giving/receiving, that welfare isn’t a bad thing. Especially if you are in need of it. There is no harm, or knock to one’s pride to ask for help, to get out of a bad situation. If you do not ask for help, out of pride of being stubborn, you are only shooting yourself in the foot, no one else.
Another way we can consider this, for this month, is whether or not you are distributing your own time and energy effectively. The overarching theme for the Six of Pentacles is giving and taking. Sometimes, it’s a call to make sure you are giving and taking, evenly. As an example, work is important, but so is your home life. It’s all about balance.
Gemini: May 22- June 21
This is great to see, no matter who you are or what is going on in your life Gemini. This is a card all about victory and driving to success. Have you been working on projects lately, Gemini? Maybe you are nearing the end of a semester or even your college. Possibly vying for a promotion, or even just looking for a job. Whatever it is you have been working towards, consider this your positive sign, that you will be successful!
The only problem, or negative, depending on how you look at it, is sometimes the Chariot can speak to being too tunnel-visioned on victory. Yes, victory is certain, however, make sure you’re not driving over people you care about to achieve this victory. Especially if it’s people you love. Obviously, for one person to win the race, there are going to be losers. But you can do it with grace, or you can be an ego-driven racer. The choice is yours.
Cancer: June 22- July 22
Don’t give up Cancer. You know, you may be chugging through the shit right now, I know I myself a fellow Cancer, have been. The Ten of Wands is the card of single mothers, overworked employees, and tremendous effort. You may be in the position of helping an ailing relative full time and the responsibility of it is creating a lot of drain and strain in your own life. The Ten of Wands forewarnings that you have a lot of responsibilities and burdens. You struggle to finish, but you will get it done.
But to be honest, it’s almost over. It’s a burden, it’s horrendous, but it will be worth it, so don’t give up. Often this card speaks of no one helping you, that you are chugging along, alone. Maybe you think those around you should be helping. Honestly, maybe they should. But whether they do, if they don’t, isn’t going to change your ability to manage the weight. It’s not going to be easy, but you CAN do it. Just keep that in mind.
Leo: July 23- August 23
When the Hierophant appears in any reading, it does concern me for your need for social approval Leo. Sometimes we find ourselves needing the approval of those around us, to conform to social norms, and doctrines. Which hello, Leo? Did you forget who you are? Although knowing when to keep your mouth shut is important, don’t let that become so pressurized that you feel you need to change who you are as a person. You’re a god damn Lion after all. You may find you need to conform this month, and that’s okay. It’s not who you are, nor does it have to be. Sometimes you just have to make it work to move through with life.
The upside of the Hierophant is that he is all about doing the right thing. Now the right thing is often subjective. In most cases, it is the popular thing or the most common thing. What is chaos to the fly is normal for the spider. So take that into consideration for this month. Are you doing the right thing or the socially right thing? There is sometimes a difference.
Virgo: August 24- September 22
The Seven of Wands, to me, feels so much like the Ten of Wands. But instead of being burdened by the weight of what you’ve done, you are fighting endlessly, it seems, to win the battle. Virgo, I know this may not be a surprise to you, but you may find yourself in a bit of a competitive situation this month. The reason I find this so similar to the Ten of Wands is that you are sure to win if you don’t give up. The competition may be heated, you may find yourself overwhelmed with it. But you can be victorious if you keep fighting for the win.
On the other hand, the Seven of Wands can speak to an unnecessary defensiveness this month. You may get the feeling everyone is against you. However, sometimes there is a difference between illusion and reality. Your need for defenses may be in your own head. Try to slow down and examine the situation before reacting, or you may find yourself fighting a battle of one.
Libra: September 23- October 23
The King of Pentacles, we love to see Libras. The King is the ultimate dad, and no not like the rule rigid Emperor, like the modern-day dad we all long to have. He is slow to anger, even-tempered, patience and kind. He has everything he wants in life, so he has no need to react or get upset. When we see him, he is a lot like the Chariot, something tangible is not only worth completing but around the corner.
Although, you yourself may not have the hard-earned patience of this King, the energy of putting your feet up and relaxing is very on vibe this month. Know that your hard work will pay off, and the “ahhh” sound of relaxation is just around the corner. It takes a wise king to make sound choices; settle into that role.
Scorpio: October 24- November 22
Four of Wands reversed shows us your month Scorpios, and I don’t love to see it. The Four of Wands when reversed shows us a month of rocky relationships, canceled plans, and instability. Four is the number of home, structure, and security; however when this card is reversed, the stability of the home unravels. We have disagreements and unstable relationships. Often times, with people so close to us as home, the arguments are built on misunderstandings. These misunderstandings, can be resolved and pass in time. Ride out the month, and try to not say anything that you can’t take back. For when it’s over, you may find you have made grave mistakes that can’t be repaired. Give yourself a fighting chance. When they go low, you go high.
Sagittarius: November 23- December 21
This is the beginning of something big for you Saggitarius. The Eight of Pentacles is the apprentice. This marks the beginning of a long learning journey for you, one that if you put in the effort, will be rewarded heavily. Like most things, what you put into it, is what you get out. I tell that (or try to) to my mentees in Patreon. You don’t just snap your fingers and suddenly, you’re some all-powerful witch. This is the same energy here. You must put all your energy into whatever path you have found yourself on. Hard work pays off, but there is not a divine lottery in this case.
If you’ve already found yourself on a path, you’ve been working hard on, you will look forward to a large payout, in its completion. Its presence shows itself, to remind us to keep our nose down and remain focused.
Capricorn: December 22- January 20
Well Capricorns, this time we need to set the whole emotions thing to the side- time to put your head above your heart. The Kings in tarot represent endings. The King of Swords in a reading suggests that you will release an old image or idea that you had held on to tightly. Again, we repeat the idea of letting go, head above heart. When emotions get involved, in this case, we can find ourselves burdened with anxiety and waves of feeling overwhelmed. We must find ourselves stepping back from the situation and examining it analytically.
A lot of times we need the logical portion of our lives to take over. We can’t run around with our hearts on our sleeves all the time. The King of Swords asks you to take a better look at your life. Are you completely living your life with your intuition? If you are, does your life seem stable? The likely hood is that it is probably a mess. Don’t beat yourself up though, we all have these moments.
Aquarius: January 21- February 18
Happy birthday Aquarius! And as it is your birthday month, well, mostly, the world is your oyster. The World signals the end of a life journey. You could be getting a degree, having a child leave home, getting married. But when one chapter ends, another begins, and that brings pure potential and possibility. These are all beginnings and endings while signaling the end of one stage and the transition to another. Although its fine to mourn the end of one chapter of your life, look forward to the next, you have the pure potential and possibility to make of it whatever you want.
The World suggests that you might win an award or prize. It can be viewed as lucky, similar to the Wheel of Fortune. Shoot it’s your birthday month, why not get a little lucky coin Aquarius?!
Pisces: February 19- March 20
This is sooooo much better than it’s upright self Pisces. When the Five of Pentacles has reversed the window looks more like a door. If you are suffering from any kind of material troubles, exclusion from the group or spiritual devoid, the door is now open for you to go in. Consider it a figurative olive branch from the universe. Your troubles will not last forever, and if you see an opening, go for it. It’s not a trap. Just head in and hold your head high, moving onto brighter things.
In some situations, the Five of Pentacles reversed, reminds us to stop allowing experiences to take everything from us. If it’s draining your soul, why are you doing it? You don’t have to continue slogging through the shit, just get off the road, and find a new path.
